"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see."

Edgar Degas

WHAT I DO

RESEARCH.

We start with a collaboration of our ideas. References are collected and information is compiled into a story to visualize. This is an integral part of the process where we determine what is the best way to communicate your science.

VISUALIZE.

This stage involves sketching out those story ideas from our research. Sketches are done quickly with pencil and paper to get ideas flowing. These are revised and refined multiple times, circling back and forth between client and communicator. Decisions are made on finalized sketches or storyboards to move forward with.

COMMUNICATE.

The production phase ends with a professionally rendered visualization that communicates your message to your target audience. Success is measured in audience understanding, and knowledge building.

ABOUT

I am not only passionate about the beauty in science, but also about its logic and the ability of visuals to communicate it. I come from a technical background in Molecular Biology (B.Sc. University of Waterloo, Canada), and Bioinformatics (M.Sc. University of London, UK). This combined with lifelong study and illustration of the natural world prompted me to pursue a M.Sc. in Biomedical Communications at the University of Toronto, a unique program which is one of 4 accredited programs of its kind in North America. Equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills, I aim to create, communicate and inspire.
